All pre-Chowny SWB-1 basses came fitted with medium-scale GHS ‘Super Steels’ 5500 (44 – 106) as standard (GHS short-scale strings are slightly TOO short for most 30.75″ scale basses).
Alternatively D’addario make mighty fine strings – again medium scale is required.
The strings below will fit ALL SWB-1 (including Chowny thru-body strung) basses.
